Passport / Visa Requirements

All nationalities, except Bahrain, Djibouti, Guinea, Libya, Oman, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, UAE and Yemen, require visas.

Vaccinations

Vaccinations are recommended for cholera, hepatitis A and B, diphtheria, tuberculosis and tetanus. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required if coming from an infected area.

Political / Economic Situation

Egypt is a stable part of the Middle East and although Islamic fundamentalism and economic problems are constant worries, travellers will hardly be affected.

Cairo's international airport receives most European, Asian and African airlines and there are airports at Alexandria, Luxor, Aswan, Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh.
