Athens and Thessaloniki have international airports served by major airlines. Mystras is not far from the international airport at Kalamata, and those visiting Chios can arrive via Athens or the international airport at the nearby island of Lesbos. The closest international airport to Soufli is at Alexandroupolis.

All Silk Road sites are well served by rail, bus or ferry services.
